Hokus Pokus Live! Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles Theatre reviews
Lindsey was good, venue sucked.
We paid for the reserved parking as the first thing. When we arrived, the street leading to the reserved parking was closed by the police department for traffic control. This meant we couldn't park in the prepaid spot. Ticketmaster, of course, refused to refund the payment. We spoke with the parking gate staff, who informed us that the decision was made by Costa Mesa PD and nothing could be changed. The show was located at the fair, with entrances and gates scattered around. However, there were no signs to guide us. Reaching the end of walkways, we were often unsure of where to proceed. Due to our stolen reserved parking, we had to park far away. By the time we reached the venue, after navigating through the crowds of fair attendees, performing arts students, high schoolers, and concert-goers, we had missed the opener, ZZ Ward. Despite parking an hour before the show began, we still missed the performance. This venue is absolutely terrible! I would never return, even if my favorite artist gave me free tickets. The seating arrangements were awful; uncomfortable, with approximately 50 people per aisle. Being seated in the middle made it extremely difficult to move around, constantly having to say "excuse me" to make way. It was a complete nightmare.
